Passion
BY KAREN BAKHTEGAN
Webster’s dictionary defines passion as a strong desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept.

We are all passionate about something, but it takes a special kind of person to devote a lifetime of blood, sweat and tears to a special cause, especially when that devotion calls for far more selfish sacrifice then it offers in personal rewards. However, those truly passionate about their cause will tell you that the personal reward comes directly from the sacrifice itself, and the knowledge that they just might have made a difference, no matter how big or small.

This edition of San Joaquin Woman is all about passion, from local women using their passion to make a difference in the lives of others, to a passion for fashion with hot spring shoe styles. We will tell you how to raise kids with a passion for their environment, and tempt your taste buds with passionate desserts for your valentine. From taking care of your heart to spring planting fever, this edition is sure to ignite the fires of passion in you.
